When I was having a baby shower, I started opening all of these gifts—and don’t get me wrong, I couldn’t have been more grateful—but everything started looking really, really colorful and rainbow-like. Living in pretty much all neutrals, I was terrified my clean bright white aesthetic would be uprooted. I thought, “Does everything have to be colorful now because I’m going to be a mom?” Well, I think not! Here are some of my favorite finds made of wood and other not-so-neon materials. The best thing about them? My kids love these toys, too!

All kids love to pretend to cook! This wooden cooking set is the perfect neutral to have lying around.
Melissa & Doug Jumbo Brown Teddy Bear ($80)

Land of Nod Wobbly Chicken ($25)
These little tiny yet adorable toys always confused me until I had a child, and I realized they will play with something like this for hours!
