This year, however, the e-commerce site enjoyed the "biggest ever shopping event in Amazon history," surpassing Cyber Monday, Black Friday, and the previous Prime Day on Amazon, reads a press release.
Prime members bought more than 100 million products over the course of 36 hours across 17 countries, counting the Fire TV Stick with Alexa Voice Remote and the Echo Dot as worldwide best sellers. In the U.S., the Instant Pot 6 Qt 7-in-1 Multi-Use Programmable Pressure Cooker was the number-one bestselling product, followed by the 23andMe DNA test and the LifeStraw personal water filter. As for the Amazon brands, the Stone & Beam Ceramic Geometric Table Lamp was the bestseller within the home category, while the AmazonBasics Pre-Seasoned Cast Iron Skillet was the most popular product in kitchenware.
