Fashion icon Betsey Johnson is selling her surprisingly understated Upper East Side apartment, according to Architectural Digest. The quirky designer listed her one-bedroom, two-bathroom home with The Corcoran Group for $2.25 million, claiming she now spends most of her time on the West Coast with her family.
Johnson originally purchased the 85th Street apartment for just over $1 million in 2008, and has since added signature pops of pink décor and flower-inspired light fixtures throughout the residence.
Built in 1987, the apartment features a 300-square-foot terrace overlooking Central Park, a modest kitchen complete with a breakfast bar, hardwood flooring throughout the 850-square-foot space, and two marbled bathrooms. The residence is just blocks from Central Park and a short walk from Manhattan's museum mile.
