Blake Lively was positively glowing on NBC’s Today show Monday morning, where she was slated to promote her upcoming thriller, The Shallows (in theaters Friday, June 24). After talking production, filming, and swimming with sharks, the conversation quickly turned to her and Ryan Reynolds’s blossoming family, with the soon-to-be mother of two musing on their breeding habits.
“I’m one of five kids. My husband is one of four, so we’re officially breeders,” joked Lively. “You can go on our website, and we will give you some of our children.” Lively gushed over their 18-month-old daughter, James, who she says always keeps her laughing. “She’s always doing something fun and exciting. She’s the most fun, funny human being I’ve ever been around in my life.”
Earlier this month, Lively also spoke of her and Reynolds’s desire to give their family a normal upbringing outside of the spotlight. “Ryan had a nice, normal upbringing, and we want our kids to have the same normal life that we had,” the actress told Marie Claire. “We don’t ever want to rob them of what we had because then we’d feel really selfish.” Lively went on to admit that she’s extremely protective of her children: “All my eggs are in one basket, and that’s my family. That’s where my heart is. That’s where my everything is.”
