When your work demands creativity on a daily basis, your environment serves as fuel to spark the fire. As one of the go-to public relations firms, Bollare knows the power of a dynamic interior flooded with natural light and visual interest. It opens the floodgates to new ideas and collaboration, not to mention the way it dials up the happiness meter. Just take its insanely chic new office space in New York's popular TriBeCa neighborhood for example; who wouldn't want to work here?
When the firm's principal and founder, Alle Fister, first laid eyes on this space, it was love at first sight, but it needed work. "We loved the location, the natural light exposures across two full sides of the building, the view to the cobblestone street, the overall volume and ceiling height but we had to push our vision," she told MyDomaine. "There were holes in the ceilings and floors, lead paint chipping, even a concrete ramp in the middle of the footprint and don't even get us started on the bathrooms."
With an entire room dedicated to shipping and receiving, six executive conference offices, two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a living wall, the scale of the office was one of the biggest challenges. "The space is large and open, so defining internal spaces in ways that preserve that feeling is strategic," she says.
Celebrating the historic neighborhood while staying true to the agency's surf culture roots, the new workplace fuses both with a sophisticated flair. You'll see vintage rattan chairs with polished chandeliers, statement pieces, and gold touches, sometimes all in one room. This office truly embodies Los Angeles style in a downtown New York City locale. Take the tour and see how the firm transformed this office. You'll want to work in a glam space like this too.
Now this is our kind of meeting room, and it turns out it's also one of Fister's favorites, which is why she went all-out on the décor. "We opted for a bold black-and-white bamboo print wallpaper from Christian Lacroix," she says. "The chairs are vintage and topped with African mud-cloth pillows from The Estate of Things. The table and side stools are from CB2 (and great for the budget!), and the room is completed with a chandelier from Alessi." Swoon!
Even the executive office spaces have a relaxed feel with an industrial vibe. "This room shares our bohemian spirit accented with iconic Equipale chairs and styled with shearling throws," she says.
The conference room celebrates the ceiling height Fister loves so much about the space. "Rooted with an oversize beaded chandelier (sourced through Anthropologie) and our signature Fornasetti wallpaper, it's a perfect example of the blend of sophistication and cool-kid vibe that we're all about," she says. "We styled this room with prints from local NYC artist Knowlita. The metal conference table is from Restoration Hardware, and it was a favorite piece in our old showroom. It's exciting to see this find a second life in our new office."
Can you believe this is a phone room? The key word behind the design of this space was "fun," and we think they nailed it. The papaya-pattern paper wraps the small space perfectly topped off with an oversize wicker chair and matching ottoman to stay true to the theme. "We looked to create spaces for the team that are just as fabulous as they are functional and moments like these are an easy way to dial up the energy," she says.
Just as the throw pillow says from these cool hanging chairs, this room, complete with living wall, was designed to enhance good vibes all around. "The open office area is just that, open, bright and breezy; a space for our team, visitors, and brands to enjoy the volume of our loft-like environment," she says.
Fister had her heart set on creating a workplace that both her team and her brand partners would enjoy and be proud of but was also fun and welcoming for their many guests and visitors. "We have so many gorgeous wares from our clients that we wanted to display and have shine, so we picked a black and white color scheme," she says. "Now they all share our energy while still letting the showcased brands' style show through."
Can you believe this is an office bathroom? Just wait until you hear what they're really made of. "The foundation of the bathrooms are Ann Sacks tiles and crushed-glass walls, which we down-lit for effect," Fister says. "They are each papered with an eye-catching Christian Lacroix paper and styled with a mirror we found in Miami through Archiproducts and a copper sink sourced from Berlin from KARE Design." Phenomenal.

With an extensive contact list of high-profile bloggers, celebrities, and stylists, Fister wanted to create a space all of their own. "The styling of the VIP lounge is meant to be graphic and fun, grounded by a more demure (by our standards) print on the wallpaper and monochromatic furnishings," she says. "This lets our contacts have their own living room–esque space to try on and play with clothing and garments in an environment that feels relaxed and lets the product shine."
