Blogger Kristin Jackson of the Hunted Interior recently joined forces with the design gurus at Martha Stewart Living to transform her dated, 1950s kitchen into a more functional, modern space fit for her family's needs. By removing an awkwardly placed storage cupboard and replacing it with open shelving, Jackson was able to almost triple her precious countertop space while also offering an opportunity to install a striking herringbone tile backsplash. Modern light fixtures add a touch of glamour to the space while a kilim runner gives the room some character. Keep scrolling to see the full transformation!
