Decorating your home is akin to creating a museum dedicated to your life. Think about it. Your space is a curated collection of your most prized possessions, from the trinkets you picked up when traveling abroad to the sentimental pieces passed down from past generations, just like a gallery. Our homes speak volumes about who we are, where we've been, and what we've done, and this stylish eclectic Cape Town home is the perfect example of that.
Housed in an Art Deco building dating back to 1939, this space was already loaded with history before homeowner and design consultant–turned–magazine editor Laureen Rossouw, along with her husband, added their own. This apartment has it all: a home library complete with steel ladder, a crystal chandelier in the living room, and a striking gold metallic wall in the bedroom. "It was a great shell," she told Image of the apartment. "You could put anything ugly in this space and it would still look beautiful."
