No one does dainty, minimalistic jewelry better than Catbird. The Williamsburg-based jewelry store is a mainstay among New Yorkers and has exploded in popularity since its 2004 opening. Following its rapid expansion in the form of two wedding annexes, the Catbird team found a new office space in Brooklyn Navy Yard. They promptly enlisted the help of Home Polish designer Tina Rich to breathe new life into their 10,000-square-foot workspace.
"I love working with clients that have a very clear brand and aesthetic," said Rich in a forthcoming interview for the Home Polish blog. "They usually have an amazing product and branding and I love translating that into a space. It’s also great because they know what they like! When I present them with pieces and ideas, it’s usually easy for the client to decide if it’s 'them.'"
After visiting the Williamsburg store and the team's old office, Rich was able to get a clear sense of the company's aesthetic. "I was really inspired by their pin boards throughout the space filled with moody, images of inspiring woman, botanicals, and nods to New York," she continues. "I knew they space would need to be relaxed, feminine, with vintage touches."
