When an Australian couple first purchased their 100-year-old weatherboard cottage in Hobart, it was a modest four-bedroom with various add-ons and haphazard renovations you'd expect from a house of that ilk. But Rebecca and Rodney saw these oddities as "beauty and character," rather than flaws. "Our first impression was of how light it was. It felt homey—it had soul," Rebecca told Inside Out. "It had obviously evolved over time and, in the past two years, it’s evolved again, since we added our little ‘pod’ downstairs."
