When a newly retired couple decided to relocate back to New York City after raising their family in Massachusetts, they opted to set down new roots in the highly sought after Chelsea Mercantile building. Seeking the design expertise of Jenny Wolf Interiors, the couple wanted to create an approachable but sophisticated home in the middle of the city. "The apartment has tall ceilings and an abundance of natural light, so we wanted to capitalize on this," explains Wolf. "In each room we wanted to draw the eye upward." The designer achieved this by adding crown molding, painting ceilings, and utilzing mirror wherever possible. "The overall feeling is calming and ethereal," says the designer. We'd have to agree.
