Following the official announcement of their new HGTV series, Fixer Upper: Behind the Design, Chip and Joanna Gaines have accidentally made a slightly more personal announcement on Twitter. As E! News reports, Chip revealed that he and wife Joanna are expecting a baby boy in a Twitter video taken at a recent Tim Tebow Foundation event. The video shows Gaines talking to a young boy named Gage, whom he met at the event. The boy's guardian captures the moment where Gaines asks Gage to give him baby-name ideas.
"We're just about to have another little baby because Uncle Chip lost his mind," he told Gage. "Now, listen to this. This is important: I can't think of a 'D' name. So, can you help me think of a 'D' name?" said Gaines.
Chip and Joanna already have two boys with names that start with the letter "D": Drake, age 12 and Duke, age nine. The couple's little girls both have "E" names: Ella, age 11 and Emmie Kay, age seven. Gaines then confirmed that his wife Joanna is currently carrying a baby boy.
"Is that a secret? I don't know. That might not even be allowed on Twitter," Gaines continued. "You better keep that to yourself, dude. But listen to me: It's a little boy, and I need a 'D' name. And so far, all I can come up with is Dragon. [Joanna was] like, 'You are not calling that baby Dragon!' Can you help me?"
Chip then embraced the mishap, allowing his conversation with Gage to serve as the family's official announcement. He responded to the Twitter video posted by user Mike Spurlock by saying, "Alright, alright…If we're going to announce the gender of our fifth child. It might as well come from my new friend Gage. Take it away, my man." Congratulations to the growing Gaines family!
