Ciara Benko

• Ciara is a Vice President at a creative PR firm, specializing in brand strategy, media relations, and copywriting across industries, including food & beverage, beer & spirits and home décor.
• In 2019, she created “The Jungle Upstairs” on Instagram and YouTube, which has grown into an incredible community of plant-lovers who come together to share their houseplant successes, woes, and swap non-judgmental plant advice. 
• She has been covered in publications including The Spruce, Domino, Apartment Therapy, PopSugar, and more.

Experience

Ciara is a contributor at MyDomaine, covering all things plant-related. She currently works at Praytell, a creative communications agency based out of Brooklyn. When she’s not overseeing brand strategy for a swath of diverse clients, you can find her tending to her indoor jungle, and sharing her tips & tricks on Instagram and YouTube.       

Education

Ciara graduated from UCSB in 2010 with a B.A. in Global Studies and a minor in Spanish.
