When a young family relocated from Boston to Seattle, they called upon designer Brian Paquette to help them create an inviting space in their new city. Two young daughters, two busy careers, and Seattle’s notoriously rainy climate led the couple to seek out a happy, inviting design for their three-bedroom, three-bathroom traditional 1940s home. “When we first met the client, the place was very dark…and the gray of Seattle didn't help,” Paquette jokes. Using a combination of vibrant teal and raspberry colors, a mix of dynamic patterns and textures, and a variety of playful furniture and accessories, the designer created a happy home perfect for welcoming the Pacific Northwest’s newest residents.
