You might know Constance Zimmer from her steely roles in UnReal and Entourage, but off camera, the actress is warm and inviting and bears little resemblance to her onscreen characters. We've been a fan of Zimmer and her eclectic, soulful style ever since she invited MyDomaine into her Los Angeles home, and a new interview with Architectural Digest offers a few more insights into the star's enviable style. Take a peek at Zimmer's gorgeous, art-filled home and find out where she goes for stunning one-off finds.
Zimmer's home bursts with character, thanks to her love for flea markets and contrasting style. "[When it comes to interior design] I'm all about doing the unexpected. A Spanish house with Spanish décor would be too much; I think you should do the opposite," she told Architectural Digest. "You can fill a midcentury-modern home with comfy flea-market finds and go against the hard lines—warm it up!"
She swears by an antique store in Los Angeles for unique artworks and furniture. "There's a great little store called Good Eye Gallery in Echo Park. The girl that curates it finds such amazing pieces—I'm constantly stalking her on Instagram to find out what new things she's got."
Other favorites include Chairish and One Kings Lane. "I’ll spend hours scouring their websites, looking for the perfect piece at the right price that can be delivered straight to my door."
Zimmer and her husband share a similar aesthetic and, unlike many of their Hollywood peers, decorated their home without the help of an interior designer. "My husband and I did it all ourselves. I get so much joy from decorating a house. Once I finish, I kind of want to do another one."
