If you love that downtown vibe, this artist's loft in New York's hip NoHo district will be right up your alley. The 1500-square-foot space was renovated into a spacious two-bedroom apartment to accommodate a family of three. Staying true to the original character of an artist's loft, the homeowners restored 10-foot-tall double doors for the master suite and dressed up the main bathroom with a 150-year-old solid porcelain bathtub complete with original fittings. Our favorite room is the kitchen; we love that floor-to-ceiling bookshelf brimming with conversation-starting spines.
