The Top 30 Hearty Crockpot Soup Recipes You Need for Fall

Updated 07/19/19

Last winter, I became a bit of a slow cooker maniac. I was always on the go and didn’t want to spend hours cooking, plus my New York City apartment was so cold that I welcomed any extra heat I could get. I started pinning crockpot soup recipes and decided to make a few.

My first foray into the world of slow cooker soup was the day of my best friend’s bridal shower in a legitimate blizzard (side note: She was rewarded by the most beautiful April day for the wedding, so it was worth it). My mom was going to be in town for the party, and I figured we’d appreciate a warm meal to come back to after trudging in the snow. All I can say is when we came home hours later to the smell—and taste—of the soup simmering on the counter, we were in heaven.

Ever since crockpot soup has become one of my go-to's for easy dinners. You don’t have to wait for winter to start whipping them up (and they make plenty of leftovers you can freeze for when you have a hankering or happen to be sick). Below, find 30 delectable crockpot soup recipes to make on repeat this fall (and beyond).

Sweet Potato Chicken and Quinoa Soup

Plus, the four-hour time requirement means it’s also the perfect meal to whip up after a weekend grocery run (or when you’re too tired to make something).

Northern white beans and a slew of fresh spices add flavor to the broth, while red pepper flakes are the perfect way to finish it off.
