Domaine’s editor-at-large, designer Estee Stanley, shares her tips for creating a stylish display with your children’s art.
Every day, my kids come home from school with some new art project, like a piece of dried clay molded into an abstract sculpture or a bunch of dried foods glued onto a piece of construction paper. I’m not a hoarder, so to me it’s very clear when something is not going to stand the test of time, in which case I toss it. But if it’s the first time my child wrote his name or painted a face or a picture of the family, I know that it’s something I’m going to want to keep. To avoid having piles of art projects all over the house, I like to utilize one of the three display ideas below so that I’m showing off my kids' artwork, but still maintaining a stylish interior.
