If you're of the camp that dreams of cozy sweaters and crackling fires when it's sweltering outside and waxes poetic about warm sunny days and romps on the beach when you're feeling frost-bitten, then this drink is your jam. The perfect balance between the fresh taste of summer and the comforts of winter, this Grapefruit and Rosemary Cocktail will cure your grass-is-always-greener attitude at the first sip.
1/4 cup crushed ice
1 tablespoon fresh rosemary
1 (1/4-inch-thick) slice grapefruit
1 1/2 ounces vodka
4 ounces seltzer water
grapefruit slices and rosemary sprigs for garnish
1. In a cocktail shaker, muddle together ice and rosemary. Add grapefruit slice, and muddle again.
2. Pour vodka and seltzer water over muddled grapefruit mixture. Strain into a glass. Serve with ice, if desired. Garnish with a grapefruit slice and a rosemary sprig.
