The brain behind everyone's favorite personalized box clutches has officially breached the home décor space. With the launch of Edie Parker home accessories, handbag designer and closeted home decor–lover Brett Heyman is pursuing a new passion.
"I am obsessed with home interiors,” remarked Heyman in a recent interview with Vogue. "I love them for the same reasons I love fashion. They are totally reflective of a time and wholly transformative. I have to avoid design magazines and books because I will want to redecorate my apartment perpetually."
Heyman's collection of coasters, place mats, trays, and jewelry boxes recalls her signature affinity for hand-poured acrylic, personalized monograms, and of course—all of the glitter. The multitalented designer sees her latest venture as a natural progression of her brand, especially given her customer feedback after launching Edie Parker back in 2010.
"Since the beginning, women and men have mentioned putting the bags on their shelves or desks for display," Parker said to Vogue's Brooke Bobb. "It was always in the back of my mind that the bags would make perfect decorative boxes when the time was right."
The new collection is set to debut at Bergdorf Goodman, and it will be added to the Edie Parker website later this month.
