As editors, we're always hearing about (and trying out!) fun, new products. Every month, we share what new picks we're most excited about, but what about the things that have turned from new finds to old favorites?
We asked our editorial team to share the things that they've found themselves relying on the most throughout the first half of the year. From the gear that's made working from home easier since March to the Christmas presents that are still in constant rotation, our editors are sharing the picks that have proven themselves in the long-term.
Here, our favorite products of 2020 (so far):
Miir Camp Cup
"This mug changed my life. I can only drink coffee when it is piping hot, and this mug actually keeps your beverage hot (or cold, for that matter) for a really long time. This saves me the annoying task of having to microwave my coffee every 15 minutes as I sip it in the morning. While the technology behind it is super high-tech (it's vacuum insulated or something), the look and feel is beautifully simple and classic. I own two of the white camp cups. While I don't use the lids daily, I'm glad that they exist." — Mélanie Berliet, general manager
Apple AirPods Pro
"When it comes to tech gadgets, I’m notoriously frugal and refuse to fall into the trap of chasing the latest, shiniest offerings (yes, my iPhone is several models behind, thank you for asking). However, when I began working from home earlier this year, it quickly became apparent that my old headphones were not going to cut it.
I’m so glad that I upgraded—I use my AirPods Pro all day, every day, as I Zoom into meetings or listen to music. They connect seamlessly with my laptop and phone, have amazing sound quality, and are incredibly comfortable to wear. The big reason why I opted for the Pro model was the noise cancellation—they block out other, usually hard-to-ignore sounds (noisy neighbors, our constantly attention-seeking dog, the TV in the other room) making it easy to focus. While I initially grimaced at the price tag, they are worth every penny—I wish I made the switch earlier!" — Allison Bean, editorial director
The Reversible Yoga Mat, 5mm
"Out of everything I've purchased during quarantine, this mat has been a favorite buy. Since the gym is a no-go, this reversible yoga mat has been my saving grace while streaming HIIT and pilates workouts. It stays put, is super easy to clean, and most importantly, I don't slide around during my practice. Can't recommend enough!" — Caroline Utz, associate editor
Hydroflask 32-Ounce Wide Mouth Water Bottle
"Weirdly, staying hydrated while I've been working from home has been a challenge. I finally broke out my Hydroflask and make sure I fill it up a few times a day. My kids also love it, so I bought kids' versions for them to get in on the hydration game." — Dwyer Frame, senior editorial director, commerce
Parachute Classic Bathrobe
"I received this robe as a Christmas gift last year, and it’s one of the best gifts I’ve ever received! The plush cotton is warm, absorbent, and looks beautiful even when it’s hanging on a hook. The two front pockets are great for stashing personal products, and the thick cotton holds up well to regular washing. I wear this robe post-shower and when I’m getting ready in the morning, so I can’t live without it at this point!" — Katherine Louie, commerce editor
"I found myself less inspired than ever to meal plan when social distancing set in, and I certainly wasn't prioritizing healthy, veggie-forward meals. So when my partner suggested we give Hungryroot a try to avoid trips to the grocery store, I was all in.
Unlike some meal delivery boxes, Hungryroot requires mostly heating and assembling precooked or pre-prepped ingredients, which means meals are almost always ready in less than 15 minutes. While neither of us is vegetarian, I really appreciate that there are plenty of vegetarian or lean protein-based meals in the rotation to make healthy eating a little simpler." — Kate Geraghty, senior commerce editor
Urban Outfitters Peaches Duvet Set
"I’m very much a homebody, so even before we were 'officially' stuck indoors, I spent a lot of time reading, watching TV, and just hanging generally hanging out in bed. What I love most about this bright, peach-covered duvet—other than how cozy it is—is that it brings a fun pop of color to my otherwise all-white room." — Chelsea Stuart, senior commerce editor
neuBROW Brow Enhancing Serum
"When I first tried this eyebrow growth serum, I thought it would be one of those products I tried for a few weeks before relegating it to the back of my shelf. But the results I've seen are so good, I've been dutifully applying it twice a day since I got it. I've been trying to grow out my brows for a long time, and I've seen more progress in the months since I started using this serum than I did in the past two years." — Karli Bendlin, email editor
