Emily Ratajkowski famously got married in a $200 mustard yellow Zara pantsuit at New York's City Hall this past February, and it appears that she and husband Sebastian Bear-McClard are just now putting the finishing touches on their rings. Ratajkowsk initially sported a strikingly bare-bones engagement ring, which she and Bear-McClard fashioned from an ounce of gold the night before their wedding.
"We made our actual rings," the model and actress told Jimmy Fallon in April. "We walked into Chinatown and bought an ounce of gold, and he was like, 'We'll melt down the gold to make the rings.' [Bear-McClard] ended up going to some store in Midtown and met this nice man, who was like, 'I know how to do that.' So we came into his studio after hours and actually hammered them out, the whole thing, used a little blowtorch. And they were supposed to be temporary rings, but now I'm very attached, and I really don't want to get rid of it. I feel like making it yourself—could it be more personal?" Here's a glimpse of her engagement ring on her wedding day.
Yesterday, Emily took to her Instagram to share her considerable ring upgrade. Layered underneath the original gold band now sits a jaw-dropping wedding ring featuring two sizable stones—one, a princess-cut diamond, and the other, a massive pear-shaped diamond. True to form, the couple designed the new ring together, according to her response to an Instagram comment. "We did together!" she said to one inquirer. "One ring with two stones! The gold band is separate though, my wedding band," she clarified to another, who asked if it was two separate rings. See her gorgeous wedding ring below.
