HydroPeptide’s Nimni Day Cream is a topical approach to stimulating collagen. "It not only enhances and maximizes your body’s natural ability to produce collagen, but it also maintains and protects the breakdown of your existing collagen," explains New York-based dermatologist Dendy Engelman, MD. "The result is healthier, happier, younger-looking skin.”
Dear by Renée
“Growth factors, which are found naturally in the skin, promote elastin and collagen formation. Sadly as we age, these growth factor levels drop,” Engelman explains. She recommends Dear by Renée Skin Renewal Serum to fight these signs of aging. “It’s a much smaller and much more sophisticated delivery system that uses growth factors in order to implement change on a much deeper level,” she says.
Naissan O. Wesley, MD, recommends trying this eye gel mask. “The Arbonne RE9 Advanced Prepwork Gel Eye Masks contain antioxidants from fruit extracts, caffeine to reduce puffiness, and Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) to help form a barrier and increase hydration of the skin.”
This serum is made with a blend of peptides, growth factors, and Manuka honey. "This honey has an incredible regenerative process in which it induces your stem cells to start growing themselves,” Tony Nakhla, an Orange County dermatologist, reconstructive surgeon, and creator of Eighth Day, says. It can also help fight off infection and stimulate your immune system.
Suzanne Mady, MD, of Aesthetic Medicine recommends using Vitality Revealed masks to give your skin some love this fall. “[They’re full of] therapeutic nutrients that stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, decreasing fine lines and wrinkles while increasing skin firmness, elasticity, and luminosity,” she explains.
Melanie Simon Skincare
Unlike most vitamin C products, this serum actually penetrates the epidermis, according to Melanie Simon, aesthetician and founder of Melanie Simon Skincare. “When you think about it, a water-soluble vitamin C cannot penetrate the epidermis because it is full of oil. This one can, so I had it formulated at a 15% concentration which is what I believe is the most efficacious,” she explains.
Best Reviewed Products to Try This Fall
This oil-free night cream is ideal for this with acne-prone skin. “It has a great texture where it's somewhat thick, but it doesn't feel like a heavy, air blocking, moisturizer. It smooths out so nicely and your skin will soak it easily and leave your face seriously so smooth. Not to mention the products smell is so pleasing.” —Endofanera, a Sephora reviewer
There's a reason Summer Fridays' masks are Instagram famous. “This product has completely transformed my skin. My skin did not feel real after using this! Before it looked so dull and now it is completely soft and glowing. I followed up with a jet lag mask and my skin has never looked better.” — EricaaaC, a Sephora reviewer
If you're all about clean beauty, you have to try Biossance. “Have to say this is hands down the best moisturizer I’ve ever used. I have extremely dry skin and found most creams to just sit on top of my skin without really doing much. Love that this glides on and feels like it’s nourishing from within. Also wears really well under makeup. Highly recommend!” — zep2413, a Sephora reviewer
This serum is a must-have to banish breakouts this fall. “I am really loving this serum! I find that if my skin is even slightly breaking out from the chemical exfoliating I do every few days, one night of this, and those pimples are GONE. I like that it is very thin and I can see it working. My pores have gone down in size and I really credit it to this serum.” —laINYtoNC, a Sephora reviewer
There's no such thing as too many face masks, and this one definitely deserves a spot in your fall skincare lineup. “Boscia Matcha Mask decongests my pores and treats breakouts without completely drying down, leaving my skin feeling nourished too. My complexion is clearer and brighter afterward!” — a Dermstore reviewer
If you find retinol too harsh for your skin, opt for a retionol alternative, like this one from Ole Henriksen. “I have used Ole Henriksen products for years. They’re always stand-up products that are worth what they cost, and I think this new addition is no exception. I was using this at night but quickly realized there's an advantage to using it during the day because of the purple tone which helps with radiance in the skin. The smell is heavenly, and the texture is nice and smooth with no sticky residue." — Ladiegrae, a Sephora reviewer
Retinol alternatives are safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding!
Treat your body to an exfoliating scrub this season. “I really, really love this brown sugar scrub…The scrub itself feels so good going on—the granules are small and soft and goes on so smooth. There are scratchy scrubs out there, and this one wasn't like that. Also, I do like the oils in scrubs (including this one) for shaving as it makes my results silkier. Really enjoyed this scrub and highly recommend.” —Jen Mclean, an Amazon reviewer
