Tomorrow, April 15, is tax day which means you have only a few precious hours left to file your taxes without facing penalties. Or do you? Thanks to some helpful tips we've learned that if you are due for a refund (as most tax payers are) there is no penalty for filing after tomorrow's deadline. That's because the late penalties you would incur are based on the amount of money you actually owe the IRS—so you're likely in the clear. Also, if you need to request an extension you can do so by filing Form 4868 online, by phone, or by mail which will extend your filing deadline to October 15.
