The fire ceremony has enjoyed a celebrated history as a powerful cleansing ritual. "The key to navigating full moons is to let go, surrender, and focus on purging," says Theodora.
One of our favorite ways to conduct a fire ceremony involves freewriting for a set time, then sending the handwritten thoughts up in flames once time is up. (We're all about burning out the bad vibes.)
This one has a screen so all of your half-burnt private thoughts don't wind up littering the neighbor's yard.
"The moon is called a luminary in astrology, which means that it is a light body; it represents our emotions and the subconscious," says Theodora. "Whenever there's a full moon, our subconscious becomes illuminated; it's the reason for chaotic or heightened emotions." In other words, go easy on yourself during this period and practice self-care.
