Gal Godot doesn't just play Wonder Woman on screen—she is a bit of a superhero in real life too. Before even taking on the role of the iconic superhero, Gadot was already in killer shape. She played basketball, was a hip-hop dancer, and served two years in the Israel Defense Forces as a combat instructor, Popsugar reports. Gadot's athletic past certainly played a part in her ability to train for her Wonder Woman physique, but her workout routine prior to filming was no joke. Here are all the different kinds of workouts she did to get seriously toned for the film, and the ones she still continues doing as part of her regular routine.
Gadot revealed on Live With Kelly and Ryan that she worked out for six hours a day doing a combination of strength training, fight choreography, martial arts, and horseback riding to prepare for her role as Wonder Woman.
While most don't exactly have six hours to spare each day for intense training, Gadot's other exercise routines are more doable. The actress is also an avid rock climber. For a full-body workout, she climbs with her trainer, Mark Twight, the founder of Gym Jones.
When she's not training for a movie, Gadot's workout of choice involves TRX bands for an intense workout that utilizes only her body weight. She's also not one to shy away from an outdoor workout. When she's not in the gym, you can find her stand-up paddleboarding, which is great for building a strong core and toned shoulders.
