We've seen several viral videos highlighting the California-based home brand, Goodies, and figured it was time to find out what the hype was all about. After browsing their site and connecting with the creator of Goodies, Rhea Carlisle, we are newly obsessed with this high-quality and affordable spot to shop for home décor, and with every home good priced under $25, you're sure to find something you love.

The Goodies L.A. Orgin Story
Goodies has come across our TikTok feeds on numerous occasions, and so, we decided to find out the origin of the fan-favorite décor brand from founder Rhea Carlisle.
"I think Goodies excites people," Carlisle shares with MyDomaine. "Customers feel welcome in our stores and they want to share their excitement with other people. It’s nice to be able to walk into a store, be treated nicely, and actually be able to afford to purchase something."
Carlisle first conceptualized the shop after growing up in South Texas, where she cites that access to expensive, luxe home stores was hard to come by.
"Shopping at discount or value stores had a stigma attached to them growing up, and I wanted to change that narrative," she notes. "When I moved to L.A., I noticed certain stores, especially high-end ones, were stuffy and intimating—and that didn’t sit well with me. I’ve always loved brick-and-mortar retail and wanted to create a space where someone from South Texas and someone from L.A. can both shop."
Goodies has since grown into a brand with an almost cult-like following, according to Carlisle—the brand's popularity resonates with those looking for a bespoke look on a budget.
"I really wasn’t expecting customers to line up for 8 hours to buy housewares, and I really think so highly of them for that," Carlisle notes. "They are so diverse, loyal, and stylish. They all come from different backgrounds, and it is so cool seeing customers all shopping in one place, mutually excited over something—even if it’s a new spoon."

Our Favorite Product Picks
Goodies keeps the cost of their fine home goods low and accessible by working with artisans directly and keeping things simple when it comes to marketing and promotion.
"We are a no-frills company—we don’t like to overcomplicate things with Instagram ads or paid influencer promotions," Carlisle shares. "We are a small but mighty team with a loyal following, and they’ve done a great job letting people know about our brand."
