We may still be deep in throes of hot August weather, but I'm already counting down the days until fall, and it has nothing to do with pumpkin spice lattes or apple cider donuts. Oh no, it's all thanks to Chip and Joanna Gaines and a little store you may have heard of: Target.
Chip and Jo first launched their Hearth & Hand with Magnolia collection at Target back in 2017, and we've been fans ever since. But their latest update, which includes over 200 new fall-focused products, is their most impressive yet. You can expect classic Hearth & Hand with Magnolia favorites, like bedding, throw pillows, candles, and tabletop items, and an exciting new addition: a collection of simple, stylish rugs.
Every piece feels perfectly suited for fall, but you won't find even the tiniest hint of cliché autumnal motifs. Instead, everything feels thoughtful and design-minded, something Joanna is particularly proud of.
"As I was designing the new fall collection, I thought about the changing seasons and how we’re drawn to create warm and inviting spaces this time of year," she said in a video announcing the collection. "So I wanted to add some textural pieces made from natural elements and materials that can be layered into your existing décor, like woven area rugs, comfortable knits and pillows with detailed trims and subtle earth tones. You can add in a comfy throw for a cozy evening at home."
The new pieces will be available on Target.com starting August 18th, but you we've got a first look at some of the standout options below. Get your wishlist ready.
Jute rugs are a classic, durable choice when it comes to covering your floors, though sometimes they look a little bland. The charcoal stripes on this affordable option add just enough visual appeal to keep things interesting, but not so much that the rest of your décor won't shine.
You'd be hard pressed to find a more affordable 5-quart cast iron casserole dish, let alone one this stylish.
The rust and burnt orange hues adorning this pillow feel positively autumnal, but not in a hokey, over-the-top way. Pick up a few of these affordable accessories and instantly update your living room for fall.
This set of stoneware plates has a lovely artisanal look, but come with the benefit of being both microwave- and dishwasher-safe.
I love the trend of using sizable wood cutting boards as kitchen décor, especially because they're as useful as they are stylish. These acacia versions are a nice way to ease into that trend without breaking the bank.
This sleek, striped runner gets a fall-inspired style boost thanks to a tiny bit of orange stitching at each end. It's an easy way to add color without losing the runner's neutral base.
While duvets and comforters get most of the attention when it comes to bedding, there's something undeniably cozy about a simple quilt like this one.
These stylish mugs are just begging to be used fireside. But if you're not exactly the camping type, they'd look just as good inside your home.
Speaking of fireside, this simple little candle is the easiest way to enjoy that smokey smell—no chopping wood required.
Of course, you can't have a fall décor collection without a throw blanket to keep you warm, and we're partial to this simple white and gray striped version.
