Step Inside a Style Blogger's Seriously Glam Hollywood Home
Decorating with a tight color scheme can feel limiting or uninspiring, especially if you're a maximalist or you don't have an absolute favorite color. If you're like us, your favorite color changes daily, so why not keep your options open? Well, leave it up to stylish beauty blogger Marianna Hewitt of Life With Me to prove us wrong. Her blush, brassy, and light-filled loft in the Hollywood Hills proves that sticking to a tight color palette is anything but restrictive. In fact, it opens up even more room for getting creative with playful wall décor, art, and accessories without looking chaotic. We all know accessorizing is where the real fun begins.
And this cotton candy dream of a home is also a shining example of what happens when a glamorous California dweller joins forces with a professional interior designer. We weren't surprised to find out that Hewitt worked with Hompolish's Talia Laconi to create the ultimate stylish living situation that's refined, cozy, and cheerful. With two talented eyes, hands, and minds behind it, this two-bedroom space is brimming with personal style and character while also exuding a well-curated aesthetic. Hewitt's home is ready for its close-up, so are you ready to step inside? Scroll through to get a closer look.
Set the Opening Scene
If we opened up a front door to this little nook, we wouldn't make it any further inside the home. The Gray Malin artwork instantly captures your eye and enlivens the entire space while the large chair is the ideal place to drape your items when you get home after a long day. The beach motif is perfect for a Southern California vibe with a city twist. The soft pastels also create an instant calm, which is how you like to feel when you get home. Plus the velvet throw pillow adds a touch of sophistication to dress up the entryway.
Make an Opening Statement:
Light Up the Living Room
This open-plan loft allows for plenty of natural light, which is why we particularly love the choice of semi-sheer curtains. Custom designed by Restoration Hardware, the ballerina pink linen curtains have an ethereal feel to them as they soften up the room. We also love how the cozy living room bleeds right into the more formal dining room. Sticking to the color scheme is a great way to create cohesion in this kind of space, which is great for entertaining a group of friends or curling up on the sofa for a quiet night in.
Create the Cozy Vibes:
Dine in Style and Comfort
The rustic reclaimed wood table contrasts against the elegant dining chairs and glitzy bar cart, striking the perfect balance between formal and casual. The bar cart is also a great storage solution, especially if you need to save space. But our favorite part about this area in the home is the gallery wall, which was a huge project. The key to achieving a similar look is by working with different kinds of art and frames while making sure that the colors and styles are evenly distributed and organized.
Get a Balanced Dining Room:
Don't Forget the Details
If you've ever wondered how to style a wall unit with all your collected knickknacks and coffee table books from throughout the years, here's your answer. It looks effortless yet it's no accident that each object is perfectly placed to enhance one another. If you're tight on space but have a lot of decorative objects or jewelry containers or other small items, a seamless wall unit is your best bet. Laconi maintained the same use of color even in the small details, which is seriously impressive. We love the pops of brass, which are broken up by greenery.
