Yep, You Can Make Cocktails in a Crockpot—See Pinterest's Best Boozy Brew

This is the best news we've heard all year (and it's been a long year): Thanks to Pinterest, we've discovered that crockpots make cocktails too. From sangria and rum punch to bourbon hot chocolate and warm-the-cockles mulled wine, you can whip up a boozy brew in minutes.

We're leaning toward a spiced wine because, well, it's the holiday season, and we want to feel warm inside when it's cold outside. In this fruity, festive recipe from Well Plated by Erin, red wine is simmered with whole winter spices, apple cider, and brandy for a cozy "crocktail" that guests will love. Here's how it's done:

Bottle of red wine (choose something fruity but not too sweet. Merlot, zinfandel, or cabernet sauvignon all work well)
Apple cider
Orange, zested and juiced
Whole cloves
Green cardamom pods
Cinnamon sticks
Star anise
Orange slices, for garnish

Add wine, cider, honey, orange zest, and orange juice to a three-quart or larger slow cooker. Stir to combine. Add the cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, and star anise. Cook on low until warm, 30 minutes to one hour, depending on your slow cooker. Stir in the brandy.
