IKEA might be best known for its iconic and instantly recognizable Malm dressers and Poang chairs, but the Swedish retailer is also packed with lesser-known steals—if you know where to look. Given the extensive, ever-changing inventory—there are 120,000 products stocked at IKEA at any given time—it can be hard to stay on top of what's new and noteworthy. We were watching designer and prop stylist Brady Tolbert's Instagram Stories when we discovered a true gem: the new Bjorksnas Nightstand, a Scandinavian-inspired blonde wood unit that looks anything but budget.

Brady Tolbert is a top-notch designer and the Editorial Director at Emily Henderson Design. He uses his experience in architecture to fuel his passion for sleek and modern design.
"IKEA is known for its angular lines, modern aesthetic, and boxy shapes, but this new introduction leans slightly more modern-traditional with its rounded turned legs and the leather handle," says Tolbert, who is the creative director at Emily Henderson. "I love the little shelf, and the drawer (although small) makes it really useful as a side table or nightstand. It was a little tall for our space, so I chopped 4 inches off the bottom of the legs, and now it is perfect on either side of our bed."
A far cry from the particleboard flat-packs IKEA was once synonymous with, the Bkorksnas Nightstand is made from solid birch tinted with clear acrylic lacquer. Dyed top-grain leather pulls reference the brand's Scandinavian roots, which was the inspiration for the new line.
One detail you can't look past? Price. "At $69, you can't really beat the price," Tolbert points out. "The quality is good, it feels sturdy, and after having put two of them together for our room, I have to say that I am very impressed." Consider us sold.
