We Want Everything From IKEA's Latest Collection
We're big fans of the stunning and chic work of Ilse Crawford of STUDIOILSE so when we heard the London-based designer was teaming up with IKEA to design a collection of furniture, lighting, and accessories, we knew it would be good. The resulting line—which contains around 30 products—is a stylish mix of pieces in natural materials and colors. Featuring Crawford's signature combination of understated elegance and modern appeal, the pieces offer a design-forward alternative to IKEA's more basic, neutral items.
Keep scrolling to view the line and hear about the creative process from the designer.
Items include cork-top tables and stools, ceramic accessories, a woven daybed, bamboo lattice pendants, and hand-blown glass bottles.
"It is quite low key but we deliberately designed it like that," Crawford told Dezeen. "We see it as background, it's not trying to compete with these fantastic icons of design—it's a different thing."
"What's very interesting is the idea of working with a company that has a very smart system, a scientific system," Crawford said. "It's been a fascinating project to create design for the many, at the level you can achieve with working for smaller companies."
