What does a bedroom for a reality TV star look like? Well, if you’re one of the Kardashian clan’s youngest members, it’s a pink utopia nestled in a sprawling $8.5 million Calabasas mansion. In an exclusive sneak peek courtesy of Kourtney Kardashian’s personal website, the reality star shared the room she helped design and decorate for her 4-year-old daughter, Penelope Scotland.
“When we moved into the new house Penelope was ready for a big girl room, but she definitely still wanted a space that was both playful and pink!” Kardashian said in an exclusive message to her fans. To achieve that particular vibe, Kardashian kept “many of the accents” from her daughter’s last room but opted for a “sleek and modern feel.”
Part of that meant making some sacrifices, like passing down the “Love Me” neon light that previously occupied Kourtney’s own bedroom. It’s just one of the many whimsical flourishes throughout the room, along with a vintage Lucite clothing rack for doll clothes that came from Shannon + Co., the La Jolla clothing shop owned by Kourtney’s grandmother, and darling mini hangers from the Etsy store LaniesCreations.
But the pièce de résistance is by far the pink-and-white queen-size bed with a custom blush-colored velvet-upholstered bed frame designed by Martyn Lawrence Bullard; according to Kourtney, it “really warms up the room and is great for kids so they don’t bump into a wood frame.”
