Jamie Lynn Sigler Hits Her Nursery Makeover Out of the Park

DOSSIER: NAME: Jamie Lynn Sigler TRADE: Actress (Guys With Kids, Entourage, The Sopranos). VIBE: Clean and modern with pops of blue and baseball accents. ABODE: Six-month-old son Beau's nursery in their Sunset Plaza, Los Angeles home.

What surprised new mom Jamie Lynn Sigler most about becoming a mother is "how little I want to do anything else," the actress tells us. "Good news or bad news, nothing compares to making your baby smile or laugh." Happiness begins at home, so Sigler sought to design a nursery that would truly make her adorable six-month-old son, Beau, smile.

In addition to a space that was comfortable, "clean lines and nothing over the top," were paramount to Sigler, so she gravitated toward unfussy shapes and a neutral white color palette. The actress selected a low-rise white crib and a white leather rocker with sleek walnut legs from Land of Nod -- both pieces she hopes to reuse if she has more children. "I wanted everything to be very simple," she says, "and the embellishment in the accessories."

With the goal of creating "very boy" room and bringing dimension and texture to the white room, Sigler integrated pops of blue and yellow in a cozy indigo throw, a star-print throw pillow, colorblock curtains, and braided pouf. "He loves to stand on his pouf," she says, "and it gives me a place to put my feet up."

"I wanted the space to be stimulating for him," she says, "with things on the wall and accents that have a connection to his family, like pictures and baseball things." Sigler's fiancé and Beau's father is professional baseball player Cutter Dykstra, so naturally, the couple received a number of baseball-themed nursery gifts from friends, including a miniature mitt and a sign that reads, "There are four seasons: winter, summer, fall, and baseball." Another friend gave the family a trio of bowtie prints that read "little man," -- quite fitting for a boy named Beau.

_4 Children have a tendency to accumulate things, and Beau "has already outgrown his storage space," Sigler tells us, but don't expect clutter here: Sigler admits that order is essential in her home. "I'm sort of anal about being neat," she says, "I want everything to be clean and easy to find." With all its drawers, Sigler describes her changing table as "an organizer's dream." "Everything has its place," she says.
