Jenna Dewan has a lot to celebrate. Not only did she welcome her second child (her first with boyfriend Steve Kazee) in 2020, but the couple moved into a stunning new rental home in Los Angeles. The actress partnered with AllModern and designer-turned-interior stylist, Erin Fetherston, to design her dream “warm, calm, and chic” space filled with clean lines and bright colors—perfect for her growing family.
“I love how they combine comfort and clean modern lines all together,” she explains about her decision to partner with AllModern. “And the colors and texture options are divine.”
The first decision to tackle when designing the space, was finding common ground with her partner. “Steve likes a more minimalistic look and has amazing taste,” the 39-year-old explains. “I tend to go more feminine and mystical in my tastes, but we easily found a happy medium.” The look they settled on? “Clean Comfort,” she says.

In case you're wondering what that entails, Fetherston–who recently segued from fashion to home design—explains that Jenna and Steve wanted the home to be “as cozy as possible.”
“I wanted to create areas throughout the home to foster intimacy and togetherness,” she says.
One of the most important spaces in the home for Jenna was the family room. She describes “cuddling with family and sharing in good conversations,” as one of her favorite things, so the space needed to foster that.
She wanted the space to be kid-friendly and include “a great couch to lay on with the kiddos, as well as comfortable chairs that are also easy to clean.”
Another goal? “Jenna’s home is designed for indoor-outdoor living,” adds Fetherston. “I wanted to bring the outdoors in through an earthy color palette, like the moss green velvet Bobby Berk for A.R.T. Furniture sofa in the living room. With all the windows, the eye has a seamless experience transitioning from inside the home to the views beyond.”

This gorgeous green sofa is Jenna’s favorite piece in her living room, and we can see why.
It’s impossible not to notice this uniquely shaped coffee table featuring inlaid rattan strips, which makes it look distinct and unusual. In fact, it happens to be Fetherston’s favorite piece in the living room. “It’s a total conversation starter,” she gushes.
Dewan’s dining room is gorgeous, and she is obsessed with these camel leather and white oak arm chairs.
Jenna’s gorgeous primary bedroom includes this brilliant upholstered bed, which offers not only storage, but built-in reading lights as well.
The term “Primary Bedroom” is now widely used to describe the largest bedroom in the home, as it better reflects the space’s purpose. Many realtors, architects, interior designers, and the Real Estate Standards Association have recognized the potentially discriminatory connotations in the term “Master.” Read more about our Diversity and Inclusion Pledge.
