You might be familiar with actor Jim Parsons's alter ego Sheldon Cooper—the beloved genius from CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory—but the actor's Los Feliz digs show just how different he is from his TV persona. Parsons recently listed his Los Angeles property for $8.95 million, Trulia reports. The hillside home has belonged to Parsons since 2014 when he purchased it from Robert Pattinson for just $6.4 million.
One look inside the unique property and it's clear that Parsons's tastes are nothing like those of his TV counterpart. One might imagine sleek modern furniture and state-of-the-art technology to match Sheldon's tech-savvy disposition, however, his home could more aptly be described as an eclectic, colorful, Spanish-style estate with both rustic and traditional interiors.
The 4026-square-foot home was built in 1922 on a 63,000-square-foot lot of land. Hidden away in the Los Feliz hills, the house features original architectural details and modern amenities. Hand-painted ceilings and original wood beams adorn the living room, while green cabinets and ornate wallpaper are found in the kitchen. Parsons clearly has a thing for bright colors, as the dining room is painted a strong red, and the den features blue walls and a yellow couch.
Upstairs, the master suite continues the color theme with soft green walls complementing the hand-painted arched ceiling, while a traditional copper tub and granite floors are found in the bathroom. Outside, you'll find an expansive patio, a pool, and a garden that's positively overflowing with greenery. Step inside the unexpectedly hip home below.
