On the heels of her New York Times best-selling cookbook, Magnolia Table, Joanna Gaines is embarking on another literary adventure. The Fixer Upper star took to her Instagram today to share the official book cover of her forthcoming publication, Homebody: A Guide to Creating Spaces You Never Want to Leave.
"My design book, Homebody, has been a real passion of mine for years. I didn't want to rush the process because I wanted to get it just right," she captioned the shot. "We have worked so hard to create a book that is equal parts beautiful and practical: a user-friendly tool to help you create a home that truly reflects the people who live there."
Gaines elaborated on the inspiration behind her book in a press release, adding that her home is "my safe place, it is my exhale, it is my shelter from the storm. Separate from my faith and my family, there is nothing more valuable or essential to my well-being than the way my family feels when we are home. And the reason that I do all of the things that I do is because I deeply want this for everyone."
From the book, readers can expect a comprehensive guide to creating spaces that exude their unique tastes, hearts, stories, and families. Through her words and inspiring photos (including pictures of the Gaines family's farmhouse home), she offers "straightforward advice on how to create your own distinctive space," continues to the press release. "From living rooms, bedrooms, and kitchens to entryways and fireplaces, Joanna explains both the basics and particulars at the heart of her design style."
She'll also help you to assess your likes, dislikes, and design priorities, in addition to teaching you how to "thoughtfully embrace design to create spaces that you'll never want to leave," the release reads.
The book officially comes out on November 6, 2018, but you can preorder a copy at selected retailers, including Amazon (where it's already a number-one best seller in the interior decorating category) and Chip and Joanna's own company, Magnolia.
