Johnny Depp is ready to move on. After his marriage to actress Amber Heard came to an end, Depp seems intent on putting that part of his life behind him. Apparently that means selling his Venetian mansion for the steep price of $10.9 million, according to the Italian newspaper Affari Italiani.
Depp, who has a cabal of estates around the world to go along with his own private island, paid almost $10 million for the mansion when he was shooting The Tourist with Angelina Jolie back in 2011. Overlooking Venice’s iconic Grand Canal, the home is known to locals as the Palazzo Donà Sangiantoffetti, and before it was the stomping grounds of one of the world’s biggest movie stars, it was the home of a powerful Venetian family notorious for its fleet of ships and for doing battle with the Turks.
Now that Depp is a bachelor again, perhaps the estate’s seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms were too much space. Or maybe this is his way of putting the past behind him as he looks to move on from the end of his marriage. Either way, the place can be yours for a small fortune, so start saving.
