Julia Louis-Dreyfus announced on Twitter this morning that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer, InStyle reports.
"One in eight women get breast cancer. Today, I'm the one," Louis-Dreyfus wrote in a signed noted she posted a picture of on Twitter today.
The 56-year-old Veep actress appears to be in good spirits. The rest of her note reads, "The good news is that I have the most glorious group of supportive and caring family and friends, and fantastic insurance through my union. The bad news is that not all women are so lucky, so let's fight all cancers and make universal health care a reality."
Our thoughts are with Louis-Dreyfus and her family during this difficult time.
