When Karlie Kloss isn't strutting down the runway or spending time with members of her girl gang like Taylor Swift and Gigi Hadid, she's likely running through the streets of New York. The supermodel recently ran the New York City Marathon, proving she's not messing around when it comes to her athletic abilities (is there anything she can't do?!).
In order to stay in tip-top shape, the supermodel takes her nutrition and wellness seriously—she even shared her training tips and healthy recipes with her 600,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel dubbed Klossy. When it comes to post-run recovery, Kloss swears by a pumpkin turmeric smoothie created by Olympic athlete and running coach Jen Rhines, MindBodyGreen reports.
The antioxidant-rich smoothie is made with pumpkin, turmeric, coconut milk, and a blend of spices to give it a flavor that tastes just like pumpkin pie. Each of the ingredients has something to offer. Pumpkin provides vitamin A, while turmeric acts as an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. Ginger and cinnamon aid digestion, coconut milk facilitates vitamin A absorption, and raw honey works to build up your immune system, according to Rhines.
