Kate Hudson has shared the first official photo of her newborn daughter Rani after giving birth last Tuesday, October 2. Captioning the photo "our little rosebud," Hudson posted what appears to be a hospital photo of little Rani—she is swaddled in the classic blue-and-pink striped "receiving blanket" used in maternity wards all over the country.

Congratulations to Kate Hudson! The actress gave birth to daughter Rani Rose Hudson Fujikawa with boyfriend Danny Fujikawa on Tuesday, October 2, E! News reports. Hudson broke the happy news on Instagram, sharing a four-slide graphic post announcing the birth and sharing the story behind her daughter's unique name.
"Welcome Rani Rose Hudson Fujikawa," reads the first slide. "We have decided to name our daughter Rani (pronounced Ronnie) after her grandfather, Ron Fujikawa. Ron was the most special man who we all miss dearly. To name her after him is an honor," she explains. "Everyone is doing well and happy as can be. Our family thanks you for all the love and blessings that have been sent our way and we send ours right back."
