No personal trainer has mastered the art of approachable yet impactful workouts quite like Kayla Itsines. The Adelaide, Australia, native created her now-famous Bikini Body Guide (BBG) program back in 2008 and has since amassed nearly 7 million Instagram followers and over 10 million clients around the world.
Itsines developed her bikini body program after hearing the same complaints from her female clients: "I hate my inner thighs," "I want toned arms," and "I just want a flat stomach and nice abs." As a result, each of her workouts targets those specific areas. Best of all, they require minimal equipment, zero workout experience, and just 30 minutes of your time.
As per usual, we scoured Pinterest in search of Itsines's most popular workout (that's available to the masses, at least). This ab workout pin from her summer sweat series has nearly 8000 saves on the sharing site and contains just four simple moves. Set a timer for seven minutes and complete the circuit with the set number of reps as many times as you can. Rest for 60 seconds, and then repeat for another seven minutes. Here are the moves:
- Outward + inward snap jump: 20 reps
- Weighted Russian twist: 24 reps
- Single leg mountain climber: 20 reps
- Side crunch on back: 24 reps
