Designer Kelly Wearstler is known for her maximalist interiors layered with luxe marbles, patterned wallpapers, gilded finishes, sculptural objects, and edgy '70s light fixtures. Restraint is not her forte, nor does she want it to be. That said, we've just we've just gotten a look at one of her most reserved projects -- the 11,137-square-foot Brentwood, CA home of outgoing Dreamworks CEO Stacy Snider, which was just listed for $15 million -- and it's quite surprising. With French doors, various courtyards, a formal garden, a swimmer's pool and cabana, a chef's kitchen, a formal office, a digital theater, a full gym, a full guest house, and exquisite grounds, the seven-bedroom, nine-bath compound, built by distinguished architect M. Brian Tichenor, has all the makings of luxury. Wearstler has outfitted the interiors with quiet shades of gray and yellow, metallic finishes, luxurious velvets, and magnificent light fixtures. It's much quieter than her own Beverly Hills residence, but we don't love it any less.
