As reported by The Editor at Large, California Home + Design magazine will soon honor Kelly Wearstler as an icon of Californian design. The title is well deserved as style star has continually wowed the design community with her bold use of color, materials, scale, and pattern all while developing a substantial celebrity clientele and successful furniture, fabric, wall covering, and home accessory lines. The awards gala, taking place February 4th in San Francisco, will also honor other California-based designers for their recent projects as determined by a panel of accomplished design experts. Designers Mary McDonald and Martyn Lawrence Bullard and blogger Caitlin Flemming served as this year's judges to recognize designers for their work in residential, hospitality, and landscape design and architecture. The winners and their projects will be featured in the magazine's upcoming Spring issue.
