Finally, a Healthy Shopping List You Can Literally Copy and Paste
Making healthy choices is easy in theory, but when you're faced with aisles of food options, knowing what really belongs in your shopping cart can be difficult. If you're unsure which ingredients are actually healthy, Josh Axe, DNM, DC, CNS, recommends following a shopping list he developed, in line with the ketogenic diet.
The keto diet, as it's commonly known, "works because it changes the very 'fuel source' that the body uses to stay energized—namely, from burning glucose (or sugar) to dietary fat, courtesy of keto recipes and the keto diet food list items, including high-fat low carb foods," he explains on his website. Shifting your diet to include keto-approved foods usually results in weight loss, healthy blood sugar levels, and lowered cardiovascular disease risk factors, he says.
