New mom Khloé Kardashian may have just discovered the holy grail of sleep aid products for her baby girl, True. Like all new parents, she's no stranger to the struggle of trying to get her little one back to sleep after a middle of the night diaper change or feeding. But she's found a science-backed solution to her common parenting woe, Popsugar reports. "A red light bulb has changed my life," Kardashian announced in a recent post on her app.

While many nurseries are filled with standard nightlights and the glow from baby monitors, research finds that these lights can inhibit sleep patterns, just as the blue light from cell phones and laptops can. Red lights, on the other hand, can aid melatonin production, the hormone that regulates sleep.
After dealing with late-night feedings in True's own nursery, Kardashian found this sleep hack to be seriously effective. "A red light has a much higher wavelength and doesn't inhibit the body's secretion of melatonin," she explains. "So right after she's done eating, she easily goes right back to sleep for the night."
This sleep hack isn't just for newborns, according to Kardashian. "Who doesn't love a little mood lighting, right," she jokes. Whether it's for creating the right atmosphere for a night in or helping yourself sink into a deeper sleep, she recommends the Lucero Smart Bulb. You can control it with an app on your phone and select a variety of colors, saving the red light just for bedtime. "You can even schedule a specific color to go on just as you're waking up so you can ease into the morning with a soothing light," Kardashian writes.
