While we're privy to much of Kim Kardashian's life thanks to her reality show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians, the family home she shares in Calabasas, California with husband, Kanye West, and four children, North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm has been kept fairly under wraps. Well, today she gave fans a first look inside their uber-chic bathroom via a tour on her Instagram stories. According to Kim, people had been "getting a little bit confused" about their sink design. At first glance, there are no basins, so it looks as though the black faucets sit atop a flat stone counter. But as she explains, the sink, which was designed by Kanye with acclaimed interior designer Axel Vevoordt and architect Claudio Silvestrin, does "slightly slope down with a slit for the water" and the water can be as "high pressured as you like with no backsplash."
It took a whopping eight versions of this prototype sink before they landed on the final design, but we hope this is something they consider manufacturing because we're kinda obsessed. She then moves on from the bathroom into the rest of the house, which is also incredibly minimal and spare, to show us their light switch design. "They are just three little buttons and they go on, dim, and off and there's no box around it, which I think is really cool and more visually appealing," explains Kim. We couldn't agree more. Watch the video below to take the tour and see the cool sink design in action.
