Candid Instagram posts might make you believe the Kardashian clan is just like us, but images recently shared by Kourtney Kardashian remind us of the opulence that infiltrates every part of their life. The eldest sister recently took to her eponymous website to share photos of her dining room, giving readers a glimpse at her multimillion-dollar home and seriously expensive taste.
The space was designed by famed celebrity interior designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard, who is also responsible for sisters Kim's and Khloé's homes. It features a modern light fixture by Interieurs, which "adds dimension to the room without covering up the art," in Kourtney's words, and a 12-seater dining room table custom-designed by Bullard.
An original Lichtenstein artwork has pride of place on the wall, and Kourtney says she likes to keep "table settings minimal with white Hermès plates, modern silverware and cool glasses with marble bases (instead of traditional stemware)."
The chairs are vintage Pierre Jeanneret finds sourced from multiple locations. According to 1stdibs, one chair retails for approximately $10,000. "Martyn and I pieced together the collection of 12 chairs. Then, we had the cushions redone so they all matched," Kourtney says.
Take a peek inside Kourtney Kardashian's opulent dining room:
"These vintage chairs by Pierre Jeanneret came from several different places," she says. "Martyn and I pieced together the collection of 12 chairs."
"I love Pop Art! This Lichtenstein adds a great pop of color and also goes along with the modern décor," she wrote.
"Martyn sent me three color options for the drapes and the cushions," says Kourtney. "The other options were more neutral and since my whole home is pretty neutral we went with blue to add a little color to my home."
