We knew that newlywed fashion designer and former reality star Lauren Conrad has great personal style, both in fashion and interiors—after all, we did give her office a chic makeover. So it's no surprise that the designer's Beverly Hills home, which she shares with new husband William Tell, is a sight for sore eyes. Conrad let InStyle into her home for the magazine's October 2014 issue, and it's filled with flea-market finds, modernist pieces, and cheerful pops of colour. InStyle has given us an exclusive first look at the couple's LA penthouse—jaw-dropping walk-in closet included!—and we are green with envy. Scroll below for a tour and to hear how Conrad describes her style.
Conrad on her affinity for ladylike elements:
"I always gravitate toward feminine details. On a garment it's a bow; on a sofa, it's tufting."
Conrad on having a different aesthetic than her new husband:
"William likes modern, masculine interiors, and I'd be happy in a place that's all white and pink with gold accents."
Conrad on her Parisian boutique-inspired walk-in wardrobe:
"In my last apartment I turned a bedroom into a closet, so I knew I needed at least that much space," she says. "When I did that again here, my dad almost had a heart attack. He said, 'Do you know what you're doing to the value of your house?'"
