While minimal rooms can certainly be soothing, there’s something to be said about the cozy feel of a maxed-out space. Maximalist rooms are layered spaces, featuring bold patterns, accessorized surfaces, colorful accents, plenty of artwork, and unique details. It may seem like these visually stimulating interiors can be achieved by simply adding more “stuff,” but careful editing is an integral part of creating a maximal space. Taste-level and style can easily be lost if each addition to the design isn’t thoughtfully considered.
