If you're a regular Target shopper, you know the retail giant has created multiple home brands that are as on-trend as they are affordable. We've carefully followed the launches of Threshold, Opalhouse, Project 62, and Hearth & Hand with Magnolia, knowing that each unique collection drop will be more impressive than the last. From traditional designs to eclectic pieces, mid-century modern styles, and farmhouse chic décor, these brands have something for everyone.
The latest Target announcement to catch our attention involves Project 62 and interior designer Leanne Ford (who you might recognize from HGTV's Restored by the Fords. The décor expert recently teamed up with Target to create the lighting collection of your dreams for Project 62. It includes over 30 pieces spanning from table and floor lamps to pendants and sconces. Each comes with their own modern twist—think fabric-covered cords and oversized options. Oh, and did we mention the luxurious offerings start at just $30?

"Lighting is everything," Ford says in a press release featured in A Bullseye View. "It's one of the most important elements in a space, if not the most important. And if you pick the right piece, it doubles as a work of art," the designer continues.
Ford is known for her modern, approachable aesthetic, according to Jill Sando, senior vice president of merchandising at Target. So, her collaboration with the mid-century modern-inspired brand Project 62 seems like a natural fit.
According to Ford, the collection was first and foremost inspired by the idea of attainable design for all. "I thought about the lights that I wanted to see more of and the lights I’ve made out of vintage materials—this style just isn’t out there in the market at an affordable price point," the designer explains in a recent interview with Target. "So I set out to create a line of clean, classic lights that are available to everyone, easy to find and super affordable."
Ford's innovative light designs stand out from the rest thanks to a few vital details, she explains. First of all, the light bulbs are included in order to help you achieve the ideal look and make your life exponentially easier. The pieces also come with fabric-covered cords to ensure that all aspects of the products are equally stylish.
Additionally, Ford points out that the lamps are made of substantial material for a strong feel and many come in oversized options, offering larger scale items to make a statement. And, of course, each piece comes a great value. "When I see the prices on the box I just have to smile," she admits.
Be on the lookout for the new collection to drop on February 10.
Not only are her designs affordable, but they're also meant to stand the test of time. "I also made a conscious decision to give the lights a timeless feel—nothing too trendy—so they work with many different styles," Ford points out. Although Project 62 boasts mid-century modern designs, we don't expect the style to lose momentum anytime soon.
